Snow Foam

Featured Replies

Can any one recommended a good Snow Foam....

I got some on Ebay the other week and its weak as cats p***

It looks more like big bottle of squezzy washing up liquid.. which it could be....!!

Autobrite

Valet Pro pH Neutral Snow Foam

or

Bilt Hamber Auto Foam

Autobrite

x2 for Autobrite. Add it to warm water in the foam lance and it does an awesome job.

I use ValetPro pH neutral snow foam. Seems OK to me, but it's the only one I've ever used, so nothing to compare it with.

+1 for valet pro ph neutral. Are you using a proper snowfoam lance to apply the snowfoam?

This was autobrites stuff but it had dwelled for 5 minutes.

It stays around for ages but I might try something else next time as they didnt do too well with their cust service and deliveries over xmas.

Can I ask a truly blond question... but is snow foam better than a standard cleaner you put in a bucket of water? .

Its a pre-wash its designed to get the larger dirt particles off prior to the actual wash. So the bucket stage is still usually required. Some say they get away with just snow foam and a rinse but I suspect they agitate with a wash mit which personally defeats the point of snowfoaming and I wouldn't. Its not an easy alternative to bucket & shampoo washing if that's what your asking.

Cheers not thats great to know. I must have a look at some and use it and see what its like.

Thanks

I have recently been through and tested 3 options....  on SWMBO's car, BlueR36 and my R36.

Valet Pro pH Neutral Snow Foam, Bilt Hamber and Ultimate Finish snow foam.

Preference rating:-

1.Valet Pro pH Neutral Snow Foam... still the best for me.

2.Ultimate Finish Snow foam

3.Bilt Hamber

Is there a specific lance you need to have to spary it onto the car? Anyone recommend one?

Thanks

Magifoam for me

Magifoam original for me also.

Autofinesse Avalanche is decent. And I like Kleenfreaks snowfoam too. They would be my recommendations.

Thank guys..

there seem to be a few good ones out there..

do you guys by it on ebay or on there own websites ??

I keep an eye out for deals.

This weekend might see some good discounts or discount codes!

The DW link/offer above for foam lance and snow foam is worth investigating too.

Another vote for valet pro PH neutral here :)

I got some Mainz stuff with the lance kit I ordered and wasn't that impressed, VP was much better :)

After the problem I had with my Snow foam, I got online which was very  weak  & thin,

My friend pop over, ( he's the boss of  Seat Ibiza Owners Club ) with his box of car cleaning bottles..

I tried the Autobrite Megifoam .. much better.. I like this stuff, then clay bar it and finished it off with some cherry glaze.. WoW..

It looks better than it came out of the showroom..

Nice result - glad you had a mate to help out with product options before investing our hard earned on more foam.

I think we need some pics though...  :giggle:

I did try to put a photo on ..but file to big...

He did give me a bottle of Cherry glaze...

I'm using Chemical guys No Touch Foam. its pretty good. Dwells a long time too.

However when its all gone I'm swapping to a citrus pre wash, Far better cleaning abilities. APC  and shampoo mixture foams nicely and cleans great too but it will strip any protection from the car.
