FAT PARKERS

Featured Replies

I like your thinkin

But the fat people may not, and the cookie sales may drop drastically in protest. Causing an overall loss in profits.

I think there may be a floor in your plan.

Im sorry Loskie, I'm out.

I think there may be a floor in your plan.

Not sure that there is. There might be a flaw though.... ;)

In defense of parents and child spaces I don't mind where they are in the car park but they are useful for getting the kids in and out as they are a bit wider and have a space between the spaces for manouvering the carrier etc. One of my local supermarkets has put theirs right up out of the way and I really don't mind. I do however get hacked off by disabled people parking in them. Especially the 2 spaces outside the anti natal department at my hospital.

I suggest rather than restricting to those with Terminal Subdermal Larditis you have "Ignorant ****** Bays". For everyone that doesn't give a **** about anyone elses car. these can then be used by the extra-wide, the old and ignorant or just plain old ******s.

These bays would be located between blue badge bays or in front of the store across the zebra crossing.

I think you're right, yes.

There was a 'floor' but the fatties went through it, so now its a 'flaw'

Cheers ;).

There might well be a flaw in the floor, I can see that being an issue.

:D

If your not keen on parent and child bays because people are getting preferential treatment then why would you want overweight persons parking bays, is that not the same thing?

One point, parent/child bays are usually for parents with children under 5 so they can safely get in and out of the car.

Another point, this forum has lots of members and may very well have some what you call "fat" people. So i would be expecting a flaming.

why not have FAT PEOPLE PARKING BAYS!!

I think your idea is far to radical and extreme to ever be accepted by the general (non-fat) populous.

It would be far better to just turn at the fatty lard arses in to Bio Diesel.

On that basis, I'm out.

Fat people parking bays will serve a similar purpose to parent and child spaces. They stop people damaging other people's cars.

My kids have an over enthusiastic approach to door opening and so using parent and child spaces stops them bashing other peoples cars. Likewise fat people have to open car doors really wide to squeeze their tremendous girth inside their car.

There could indeed be a "floor" to my plan. Why not get the supermarkets to install moving walkways like in airports but in the opposite direction they wish to travel in thereby increasing the excersise benefit.

Thanks for all your support.

IBTL folks.

What do you mean what I call fat people?

There's far too much American pc nonsense calling them big or large. It's not bigness or largeness attached to the skeleton it is plain and simple FAT, I am 16 stone and 6ft so I do know a bit about what I am talking about.

I like to park away from the door. Just for the record.

I park in parent and child and have no child

Nice ding free doors for me

Parent and child spaces are to allow you to get the door wide enough to get things like baby carriers in and out.

Yup, couldn't agree more. My parents are both very very fat.

It will kill them before their time. If I were to succumb to the same BS

I've heard them spouting for 30+ years then I would also be fat as apparently

if you come from a fat family then you will only ever be fat. What a crock!

I started to gain weight last year firstly as a symptom of packing in the fags

and secondly a symptom of being sat on my chuff for 6 months unable to

work while I waited for urgent surgery. By the end of January I had ballooned

(for me) to 14st 4lbs. So did I shrug my shoulders and say 'Oh well, I come from big

stock'  (like I've heard my folks say a million times..) and just accept that it was time for me

to Jabba up like the rest of my lazy family?

Of course not, I got to doing something to deal with it, and now am back in a size

32 trouser, back to 12 and a half stone and more muscular on my chest shoulders

and arms from the 200 press ups I'm now doing every day.

I do love the way FATTIES say big BTW. :D That's denial in action right there.

You are 100% right in what you say Loskie. Perhaps if we were to start calling

a spade a spade (this also applies in other areas this thread isn't about)

then perhaps some good old fashioned shame and self loathing would kick in

and these heart attack time bombs would admit they have a problem

which is their own doing and try to fix it. Instead of blaming everybody

and everything else. Because it can be done. It's not the shops fault,

it's not the takeaways fault, it's not the manufacturers fault, it's yours for

stuffing your fat face with too much food. And here's a tip, bleating about

it to anyone who will listen burns next to zero calories so stop wasting

everybodies time and get off your lardy butt and deal with it!

The rules are the same for all, eat less, eat well and do more. That's it.

Even someone who is stupid enough to overeat to the point where

they are too fat to walk, or worse still wipe their own arse must be able

to see that. (oh and start to charge them extra on planes too, nothing worse

than a long haul flight with a large fold of a stranger skin intruding in the meagre

space that I've spent thousands on, if they take up 10% of my space then they

should pay 10% of my fare and be overlooked when the food comes round.)

I was walking back to my car at Tescos the other week and noticed a bloke parking in a bay diagonally between two other cars. I thought to myself 'eye eye, there's one for YPLAC.com'. All became apparent when the door opened and out slid ~22 stone of gelatinous chav who parked like that so he could open the door wider

I'm sure there's some merit to what I've read so far however there is one major flaw, not floor this time!

Who's going to enforce these parking regulations?

I see folk abandoning their **** boxes in the parent and child and disabled bays all the time and nobody takes action, I've often thought of playing the vigilante but it's not my place, I didn't mark the bays in the first place.

We all have a gripe about traffic wardens in general because we dislike the expense, especially when we can't park near our intended destination and there's no reasoning if you only want to stop for a minute without paying... but where are they when you want them.

Maybe if we all played by the rules we'd get on more amicably... but then that'd mean no speeding, double parking, undertaking etc.

What a world eh!

People misusing parent bays and disabled bays are being targeted by the parking companies now that they can pursue you through the courts.  EDIT and those parking across 2 bays

Was a article locally either this week or last week that a number of people had been given parking charges in supermarkets.  Some of the parking companies are installing CCTV to monitor these bays, as well as already having ANPR

Obviously this will be enforced by staff in cherry pickers, who will be armed with bags of chips and fishing rods.

Anybody of above average tonnage failing to park correctly will be taunted with said bag of chips until they either fall over and are unable to right themselves or become too tired to waddle back to their car.

I'm very glad that they're tackling folk who park in parent and child bays. £70 fine for anyone caught by the monitored car parks. I sincerely hope there's a ticket coming to anyone who thinks it's acceptable to watch a parent struggle.

It's hard work getting a baby in and out of a car and am very grateful for the extra room as you often have to open the doors wide and then manoeuvre a pram through the gap.

Mind the language please folks

Cheers

Chuck the parent bays at the back of the store. Lazy people won't use them and it frees up space near the shop. Sorted.

Spaces near the shop for lazy people without kids?
