Rare cars

Featured Replies

A Ferrari F50 and a Porsche GT3RS parked up at the PnR when I went back to the car.

Would have got a pic but the owners were hovering around.

F50 was rather lovely even if I prefer the F40.

The GT3RS looked like a 911 Halfords Special Ed.

Test drove this beauty today. Less than 1000 cars will be manufactured.

The only thing that keeps me from buying one is that there is an electric version on the way. They've been manufaturing the test fleet all winter. Shouldn't take long until they have it straightened out.

There was a lovely 80" Series 1 Land Rover parked in town this evening.

I thought SAAB went bust

Some electric car maker bought them i think.

Exactly. Nevs, National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB. Their primary business plan is electric cars. The wanted the Stallbacks plant for their cars so they bought what remained of Saab Automobile AB. In the process they acquired a boatload of parts they're using to manufacture a slightly updated version of the old 9-3. They only have 1000 engines, so thats most likely the number of cars they'll manufacture.

I've driven both MY08 and MY14. Me likey MY14 very much.

As in "a really funky smell" I presume?

Don't you just hate it when autocorrect changes 'fugly' to 'funky'?

My default choice on the original Gran Tourismo game.  Odd to think that most of the 4cyl ~300bhp hot hatches are just as quick/quicker these days but they just don't have the pedigree and class!

The ones I linked are the Type R variants; I remember Richard Hammond reviewed the 2nd Gen Typre R very early on in his Top Gear days but haven't seen anything of them since. They are meant to be a very good, considering their age and how much the competition had moved on:

I bet the build quality has also stood the test of time too.

I like cars that look individual. Suppose most of us do really.

Have owned / driven two cars in the past that whilst i was driving them I never saw another one of them on the road, or anywhere for that matter.

A 1986 3 door Honda Accord 1.8 (ex iirc) fastback style in gold colour.

And a 1978 Toyota Celica 1.6GTi Twin Cam, In black

Image result for 1978 celica 1.6gt Similar tho this is the Jap market model.

Both beautiful cars, nice to drive too imo.

Never the prettiest of cars but the handling was supposed to be sweet.

My 335d would beat it in pure performance terms. How crazy is that?
