Fabia vrs turbo whistle

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 05 fabia vrs which was remapped by previous owner and it has a cat back piper non resignated exhaust.

The original turbo randomly gave up. I replaced with another which also gave up after 4 weeks due to over speeding. I put it down to the remap. I then bought a pierberg kkk hybrid, after 2 weeks this gave in due to foreign objects caused by the pipe blowing off and sucking in stones. I have no got a replacement pierberg kkk hybrid which all seemed fine but now I am getting a whistle noise.

A few people have said it's nothing to worry about but easier said then done when I have had the carry on over the last couple of months.

Can anyone please advise me!!! It is rather quiet on the video much louder when ya actually in the car.

I can't upload video at minute it won't let me . I can email the video to someone if you think you can help. I will try upload it later.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay.

Turned out the turbo was however once again on its way out. Due to foreign objects (small metal filings).

I have now had this fixed and got a universal intercooler so all problems regarding foreign objects will now be eliminated.

Not do I have my car remapped again so I know how it was done as the previous owner did it himself. Or do I leave it alone now.

The turbo has slight whistle at idle But hopefully nothing to worry about

mine is also whistling about now after a remap.... no idead if it has ever been replaced

But I have a spare turbo with gaskets on standby should it go pop.... but Im not gonna fix something that's not broke

lol same ere, mines whistled since my remap but pulls like a train and keeps going.
