Back to a Skoda and very happy with my VRS.

 

Just a few questions please:

 

My rear washer doesn't work, I can hear it whirring when i push the stalk but no fluid comes out, any ideas?

 

I want to put my sony stereo in, no problem I thought, BUT i have tried the wires both ways round IE red - red and yellow - yellow AND red- yellow and yellow- red.

 

Both work BUT don't hold memory, lots of swearing later I am stumped!! HELP

 

Also, when I put indicators on there is NO click noise, is this usual??

Various threads on here about the rear wiper issue, just google or use the search bar at the top

 

Mine was disconnected at the bulkhead, behind the airbox/MAF

 

With regards to the stereo issue, no idea. my Sony unit was solved by switching the wires around,

The washer is a common fault usually in the engine bay to the right by the bulk head a pipe usually pops off there if you get some one ta quiet it while you have a look you may see it if notits going to be in the tail gate,

The red and yellow wires etc are just to give it a permanent live feed I think the one for memory is orange or something as far as I can remember are you sure your storing things right

Yes I'm storing things right, I used the stereo in my previous car without problem.

 

I have tried the red and yellow wires every way round and as soon as I take the key out and then restart there is NO memory.

 

So annoyed.

The indicators don't use a conventional flasher unit. The ticking noise comes from a sounder on the back of the instrument panel. This sounder is sometimes known to fail or develop bad connections to the cluster printed circuit board.  Do you get warning sounds for other things such as lights on, low fuel, handbrake left on etc?

No waring sounds so guess its that buzzer unit, I will live with the silence i think lol

 

Back to the stereo, any ideas?? Would the fuse in the car affect the memory??

I've always ignored the lack of rear washer, I've never used it. What miles is your new car at to have the washer stopped working?

Damn it!

No buzzer = left lights on and ran battery down :(

Do you reckon it will be ok after a jump start and a good drive? Or new battery needed?

Will have to sort buzzer, any guides? how to's?

Jump start and drive around, it will be perfectly ok.
