sony DSX-S300BTX, won't hold memory?!?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Trying to install my Sony HU into my 2005 fabia VRS and its driving me nuts.

It will NOT hold its memory when i take the key out.

I have tried the red and yellow wires BOTH ways round, checked the fuse in the stereo, checked the fuse in the car and still won't hold memory.

Stereo works fine, had it in my previous car no problem.

I bought the aerial booster thing, and I have connected that blue wire to the blue wire on the back of my sony HU which the manual says is power antenna.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Do you actually have a permanent 12v feed coming from the vehicle loom or has it failed?. This is the usual cause of the symptoms you describe - have you checked all the vehicle fuses to make sure you do not have one blown that covers this?.

i think you need to switch the live over with the switch live they should be red and yellow there on plugs so just put the red into yellow and same for the other

my bad just seen that you tryed that lol

You need to meter the feeds to ensure you have +12V Perm and +12V Ign before swapping wires around.
