Fantasy Green Fabia

Featured Replies

Here for sale is my baby.

The most awesome coloured Fabia ever to be produced!

Forget the common VRS SE in Race Blue, this thing is incredibly rare and exclusive.

When driving around the chance of you seeing a car in the same colour is infintely smaller such is the rarity value of this beast.

I've never actually seen one in this colour, other than the one I bought.

Last I looked there was only one on Autotrader and over fifteen Race Blue ones...

2001 (Y reg) Fabia 1.4 16v Comfort.

Good runner.

11 months MOT.

New exhaust cat.

Cat C due to small dent in the boot (not worth fixing)

VIC check done and V5 now here.

Gutted to be selling this but so many cars I'm never going to drive it.

Sad times. :(

Was sitting for a few months before I bought it, so interior is a bit smelly.

Needs a good clean.

£500.  Gutted. :'(

More pics to follow.

My weird ex-girlfriend loved this colour, so much so she actually used to have a touch up stick in this colour and paint her nails with it.... :|

So the interior isnt being put in here? :o

So much want... but I can't figure out why!

So much want... but I can't figure out why!

I know the feeling. :D

Can't believe that a day on nobody has been all over this like a rash!

It's a real stunner.

Someone somewhere must have a bathroom suite in this colour and want a car to match.

I'm so tempted by this.

Cat C is bad... They wrote the cat off for a small dent?

What's the mileage?

Previous owners?

FSH?

and how many stamps? Last serviced?

Do you understand the Cat system?

Cat C is when the estimated cost of repairs exceeds the value of the car.

Cat D is when the estimated cost of repairs doesn't exceed the value of the car.

So the dent in the boot and the slightly misaligned rear bumper came to an estimated cost (at manufacturers list price of parts) of over the £1,000 they paid out on the car.

Cat C may be bad on a newer car, meaning expensive/huge repairs.  But on a cheap old car it's quite common.

Skoda's list prices for parts soon make repair estimates expensive for insurance companies.

Hence Cat C. :)

I didn't fix any of the damage and it went straight through an MOT and VIC.

The car is £500.  It's a salvage car.  FSH?

I don't have a clue about it's service history, you don't get it with a write off unless they accidentally leave it in the car.

5 keepers, 100k miles.

The colour alone sells this car!!!

The damage...

Surely your joking?

IIRC Cat D is over 40% of the cars value, Cat C is Over the entire cars value. AS Bossfox said, a brand new boot (as the insurers would repair it) with painting is easily over £1000. Whereas a 2nd hand one off ebay etc would be considerably cheaper

and FSH on a £500 car? its £500 which IMO is a bargain for the car, ive driven it, and worked on it and if you can get over the cosmetic condtion, its well worth it.

I've seen a couple of these minty Fabia's! like you said Richard rarer than a Fabia vRS SE.

I've seen an Elegance Combi in this colour with the mystic beige interior... hot stuff! £500 though is great vfm

100bhp too, or was!

I've decided to keep this car for some odd reason.

Apologies to the hordes of Skoda enthusiasts with exquisite taste who have been hounding me, desperate to get their hands on this truely rare and exclusive car.

No worries Richard enjoy the car.... anything special in mind? ;)

Just enjoy it for the unique piece of motoring history it is. :)

If I had the money and I wasn't in fear of the wife castrating me for having another car Id be all over this!!

Yes I am, but if you want this bizarre colour there are two Fantasy Green classics with the 8v 1.4 on Autotrader.

I'm sure it'll be possible to get a fantasy green wrap for your GT-R, it would look awesome!
