P0343 error code

Hi currently have this error code and car is struggling to start. Been told it could be either crank sensor or camshaft position sensor.

Looked on ebay and found both sensors but wanted to check there correct before ordering?

Check with your Skoda dealer or TPS. Genuine VAG parts on Ebay are usually more expensive. Golden rule with VAG engine sensors is fit genuine only. Buy cheap, buy twice.

Eurocarparts have the crank sensor listed as 2 different parts 494440420 and 494440421. Are they both identical?

MOT today with a couple of advisory but also yet another broken front spring. Thats seven now in two years on my cars. Sounds a daft question but wondered if anyone has changed front shocks without removing hub. Was wondering if both wheels were off ground with car on axle stands would there be enough play to drop knuckle enough to separate and remove shocks. Alasdair

Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks

Very confused and apologies if covered elsewhere but can't find it... looking to get a towbar fitted for caravan towing and an independent towbar company is warning about coding and about the rear emergency braking kicking in and not letting me reverse with the caravan in place. Another has said they can fit a towbar but I'd need to take it to a dealer to get it coded. I've contacted my local skoda dealer and they've quoted £1900 for a towbar to be fitted!! ..and lost! I was reversing out of their drive last night and never saw the small gate post, tried to turn, heard a bang and then, well, you can see from the pics. So mad at myself but left it until this morning to have another look at it. Pics 1 & 2 were mostly on the skirt and that has all come off with just washing it down with a sponge. However, Pic 3 shows where I hit the post whilst turning. Most of it has come off (Pic 4 & 5) but there is a slight dent and plastic bit in the whee

My recent (non-Skoda) cars have given dashboard warnings when the battery in the key fob runs down. This gives the driver the opportunity to change the battery and to keep the key functional. The battery in my Superb's key fob recently ran down, and it went from fully operational (working the button "plip" as well as the keyless entry) to completely flat during the course of a day at work.
