Spare Wheels MY2010+

Featured Replies

Ok can somone conform what I should have in my boot:

Long story but bought my FL VRS from a Ford Dealer, when I first looked at the vehicle there was a wheel in the well (Space saver or Alloy I cant remember lol) but when I picked it up the boot flor was damaged and the wheel missing.

After telling the dealer "whose playing funny buggers here" and over a weeks worth of phone calls and them telling me it would just be a can of gunge,  they just so happened to have another Octavia they could swap the carpet (false floor) from and ordered me a new wheel, So All done and I was happy, untill decided to pu the car on the spare so I could give the wheels a proper clean this weekend....Although the spare is brand spanking new....it's 15" and therefore wont fit on the VRS, Ive now go to the stage I cant be arsed dealing with the dealler anymore.

Thinking of just flogging the spare off and getting hold of a space saver or a single 18" VRS alloy, time to join Freedom :-)

Skoda told me this morning it should be a can of gunge as they dont do 18" space savers

Should I have a space saver, can of gunge or an alloy in there?

Ebay and a matching alloy would be the best bet. Thats what I do.

That 15" should fit on the back of a MKII. If you have a puncture on the front, put that on the back and the good rear on the front. Its very odd they didn't sell you a 16" as that is what the VRSs came with.

The standard space saver is a 16" wheel which is about £110 from a SKODA dealer.
