Switching AUX on!

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am sure this is obvious but I can't switch the Aux on. I go menu, set, aux then there is OFF with an arrow either side. I can turn up the volume of the Aux but it remains off. Have pressed every combination of buttons since Saturday when I collected the car but I am failing here and getting frustrated because it can't be that hard! Am using jack cable. Wrong cable? Grateful to someone to tell me the obvious. It is ruining my citigo experience! Come back Yeti with your SD card.

Thanks

You can diable the AUX, which sounds like yours is with OFF showing. Get back to that screen, then press radio tune buttons < and > or track < > on the right? I think. Took me a while to work it out too :)

But as for SD Card... micro sd card slot on side of the PiD..... job done.

I tried it on mine. When you get to the screen with the two arrows pointing to >AUX<

change it to 01,2,3 in the slider using the volume nob.

The fact the arrows are not around AUX means it is now on.

Press media to return to the radio, now you will get the option when pressing Media; CD,NAV, AUX

Thanks for all the advice. I am not as stupid as I thought! I was doing all the right things but have discovered it all works perfectly with my husband's ipod but not mine! Can't find a reason for this as my ipod plays through various headphones quite happily. (Am now going to try my ipod in husband's car, I hate to be defeated!) On the SD card front the yeti had a big card and this has a little one so that's a job for a rainy day - buy a card and put all my music on it. Am guessing that will allow the reading of track titles and moving through albums etc via PID as the aux has no direct control (?). Think I was wrongly expecting more but it is only like a headphone cable not a USB.(Am happy to be corrected if I can do more than just listen and not have to control from my ipod directly).

Ok my iPod nano won't work in husband's car unless it is connected via USB. His i pod will work via USB and aux. Frustrating as his ipod is way older than mine! So sd card it is.

When you buy, ebay are cheap, but get a class 10 card. they are fastest. as it seems to sulk with slow speed, or too cheap cards.

I went for a mini with a convertor to a large sd card, so I could use it easily in my PC for copying files which only has a large slot..

On the pid you see a folder structure exactly as you see it on the card. So I have a rock/pop/chill folders, then albums under that for example.

My only frustration is it forgets where I am and restarts at the top folder on track by track mode, where as I left it on all folders, random play. but its quick enough to tab round the screens and change it.
