eibatch or h+r?

Featured Replies

Just been lookin on ebay and for either of these springs with the same drop there simular price, around £170 mark. Which is the best or isnt there much in them?

The only thing I'd say is that the H&Rs do drop what they say they do. Eibachs for some reason are a bit less.. And in my experience always have been...

Have had both. H&R wins; they feel so much stiffer and yet dampened over both OE and Eibach. Also as had been stated above; they drop the full amount stated.

Stiffer but not anymore uncomfatable?

No more uncomfortable.. At first I thought I could tell the difference, but to be 100% honest, now after 800 miles... Feel the same as standard. Just looks awesome now it's settled. Think cornering is a bid better...

Think cornering is a bit better? I really want handling over looks.

I'd say they are MORE comfortable than standard (the coils of the springs are noticeably thicker); cornering between OE and H&R: There is no comparison; H&R ensure the car suffers from less body roll by a significantly noticeable amount.

H+r are winning at the moment!

I'd say the EIbach springs gives the best ride quality and the H&R springs give the best stance.

H&R no complaints

Which best for handling though?

Had both: H&R, stiffer without being uncomfortable.

Would it make any difference with mine being an estate?

Anyone struggled running h&r 50mm on standard shocks?

Would it make any difference with mine being an estate?

Shouldn't do; just check you order the correct springs for your car type.

Yes. The H&R's -50mm killed my standard shocks in a year. All 4 leaking and very very crashy to drive. Now running B8 dampers and they are another level to the standard set-up in terms of both comfort and handling.
