Alarm set bleep

Featured Replies

My 07 Occy has two keys - one that's old and worn, and another that looks brand new.

When I use the new key, the alarm chirps when I lock the car. When I use the old one, it doesn't.

Any ideas why, and how I change it so they are both silent?

Do you have maxidot?

Actually just seen you have an L&K which I'm sure does have maxidot.

Do this for both keys in the ignition:

Press and hold the up or down on the end of the wiper stall to access the maxidot menu.

Scroll down to Setup > Convenience > ATA Confirm and change it to off.

The car remembers the keys and changes the settings for each key.

Fantastic, I'll give it a try. Ta!

Really? I never knew that and I've had Octys for the last 5 and a bit years!

It's only the L&K that has this feature.........it remembers drivers seat position and outside mirror position on each key, but I have never used this feature on mine.

Oh yeah. Should have said. Only on cars with electric memory drivers seat!
