Thought I would start a build thread for my FL Mk2 Octavia vRS.

 

Picked up the the vRS as a replacement for my old and trusty Mk1 Fabia TDI in Feb.

 

Apart from the standard equipment, this had a few optional extras fitted; auto lights, dimming rear view mirror, auto wipers and rear parking sensors.

 

Comes with FSH and also had the cambelt changed already.

Originally plans were to keep the vRS standard and not change anything, those plans didn't last long

 

Went to see andyvee about some VCDS tweaks and the following were either already activated or had to be activated:

 

CH/LH lights

Cornering fogs

Fogs on when reversing

Fogs on when indicating

Rear wash tear drop wipe

 

So I got together a nice list of things to do (will be adding to this as time goes on):

 

MDI

Columbus - done

Maxidot

Full size spare - done

Alloy refurb

Remap

Anti-Lift Kit

Lowering (either springs and shocks or coilovers)

Front and Rear anti roll bars

Then in April I went over the see ChrisRs to give the vRS a good clean, and the results were very good and I am planning keeping on top of it

 

 

 

After that another job for the future was added to the list, alloy wheel refurb

Last weekend, I went over to NI to see FUBAR for a few days. While there he kindly fitted his old Columbus and also changed the 16'' steel spare for a 18'' Neptune as a spare.
