Help please.  I bought the Octavia Estate as one of the reasons was the big carrying capacity.  However I have one small problem.  I can remove the parcel shelf and lower the rear seats.  However I am then left with a solid bar which runs across providing the rear support for the rear seats.  THis therefore restricts the carriage of anything long and higher than the bar.  I cannot see how you can remove this temporarily.  Is it possible or do I have to live with it ?

Youre not talking about the optional tray under the parcel shelf are you, cos there's nothing on mine that sounds like anything you're describing other than that?!

its a spring loaded load carrier i think? push it in and it should be removable.

 

or if its the tray thing.. push it upwards

Any pics as I'm not aware of any bar apart from the plastic storage tray which is removable.

The tray just pulls out backwards.

Thanks for all that.  It was the roller blind and then the parcel tray.  Easy when you know how.  

I'd suggest downloading the owner's manual on this website and having a read.
