Skoda UK Websites, Info & Assistance so different from elsewhere.

Featured Replies

Skoda UK Websites are never that Current, accurate to the UK, or easy to use. IMO & IME.

But Information to Owners of Skodas on Skoda UK Websites should surely be clear,

rather than just Sales & Promotions.

I understand differences from different Countries or Continents & World Regions,

But Skoda New Zealand seem able to inform the public/Customers

of what they do, or will do.

eg

'Service Campaigns' as Skoda NZ do them.

"Safe & Satisfying motoring for the rest of the life of the car"

**This i like, as long as that is more than 7 years.**

That is precisely what my e-mail to Skoda UK  said on Monday Morning.

All the NEWS website  outlines is Their GOOD NEWS and is not used to inform Customer of current issues and actions.

I would also say I read the Skoda News more often than I visit my Dealership.

The letter was issued to the Dealerships ,so we are lead to believe on the 5th -8th May.

So we are now at the 13th ,so why has nothing appeared on The NEWS site!?

This has moved up Google Search to being on Page 1's

Skoda UK 'News and Press Releases'

http://skoda.co.uk/about-us/news

So i thought, maybe something about the DSG Service Campaign,  but Nothing.

But maybe people are doing searches, expecting to find the answer in 'Skoda UK News'.

7/5/2014, 'Fixed Price Service Plan for cars over 3 year old',  i see,

Maybe they can mention, while your car is in,

'We will implement the 'Service Campaign', on vehicles requiring work,

or outstanding issues not dealt with in the 3 year Manufacturers Warranty Period.

Perhaps Skoda News ought to have a link directly to Briskoda.

Perhaps Colin D can help them there, with his latest computer up dates!!?

VW seem able to give Informative & important News that owners need.

Not sure if they have Sent out any Letters yet,

Maybe a VW Polo GTI owner or owners of other VW models with the DQ200 DSG can say.

EDIT,

This Page on the VW Site has changed in the past hour since i linked it.

I linked because of the Reference to VW sending out Letters.

Volkswagen plans to contact owners of potentially affected vehicles in due course and will advise them of the process for having their oil replaced with mineral oil which will prevent this problem.

hmm seems VW owners are sorted, just need slowda to do the right thing now

A Briskoda Member asked 'Skoda UK Customer Services' why 'Service Campaigns' information and Alerts

are not on Skoda UK Websites,

The 'Skoda UK Customer Services' member of staff replied that they do not use the Internet for that.

Skoda Dealerships contact owners, or the vehicle is dealt with at its next Service at a Skoda Dealership.

It is Strange that 'Skoda UK' have Sales & Information & News Websites,

but can not Post/Link an easy to find and use 'Recall/Campaign' Checker to use your VIN number on.

SKODA UK is Running a very big advertising campaign in the different Media, Print & TV/Internet etc

on some models, discounts etc.

Its a real shame they can not treat present owners a bit better.
