It's like a thick adhesive tape, almost looks a bit like leather. Is it to hold the carpet down or something?

I only ask as my clutch pedal is sticking to it and it's annoying. Just thinking of cutting it off

I've just had a look and I don't see anything like you describe :/

It's insulation that drops down from above and behind the pedals. It should be stuck above where the carpet stops to the bulkhead and to the back of the dash. Some of mine got damaged and kept falling down so I just removed that section.

This is what I was talking about. So it's ok to cut away?

Hells teeth. That don't look right.

As stated, some sort of backing insulation type stuff, but how's it got like that I wonder?  :wonder:

I had to take the underside of the dash out last night as I had pulled away the can cooler switch and needed to connect it been up.   Must have pulled down the insulation as I took it out.

if you can't tuck it back, cut it off.

Looks like melted cheese - give it a lick just to make sure!
