Max speed

Featured Replies

I have driven my nissan with near 240km/h so I was wondering how fast is the Fabia vRS! Yesterday I was driving my vRS on the highway with 215 km/h What is your max speed? :D

5915.attach

Highest speed seen in mine was off the clock 150mph+, but it wont hold at that, highest speed it will hold is 145mph......on a track of course...:rolleyes:

Interesting to see the fabia vRS on the continental version which are in km/h don't have the "warp speed" grading from 90mph / 160km/h :)

Mine's the same as shifty. The problem isn't so much the power of the engine that's the limiting factor, it's the aerodynamics. My fabia which has a few more horses than standard and arguably a few more than a remapped one doesn't have a higher terminal speed than a plain remapped one.

That's also why a remapped octy RS has a higher top speed than an LCR which is amusing considering an LCR has more horsepower than the Octy. Great for winding the Seat boys up :P

Anyway, I digress. Next time I go on track, I'll take a gps reading - although don't know how much you can trust the calibration of the speedometer at that speed considering it's not a normal kind of everyday driving speed :rolleyes:

I have done just over 145 mph [234 km/h] which read 135 mph [217.7] on GPS. That was absolutly flat out with no more to go. [standard fabia vRS]

140mph on clock, germany. :-)

136mph on gps

down hill with a tail wind being towed by a lambo :P

My PD100 can safely hit 70mph, I've not been faster than that in this country. In France though I hit 130kmph.

MBval you have a Fabia vRS or Octi?? Can't remember which one you said you have, but the display looks quite different with km/h instead of mph...

I've managed 220km/h on my car, and 250km/h with my previous car, an Omega MV6.

My mom have a Fabia vRS :D Mine is 1.4 16v 112bhp ;)

I`ve had 120mph out of my 1.4 16v 100bhp, and it felt good.

On standard suspension I haven't felt comfortable trying to take my vRS as fast as it will go - coming from driving a very squat 200sx that would happily hit 150mph (in truth I reckon it was good for 160 but I never had the bottle), the Furby just doesn't feel safe at silly speeds :(

120mph=200km/h right?

120mph=200km/h right?

192km/h...

Rob.

Interesting posts but dont want to be accusesd of being a wet blanket but any photos at that speed hopefully are done by a passenger :eek:

I've had just over 130 on the clock which was 118 on GPS, I reckon it was good for a bit, but not a lot, more. Still pulling quite strongly at that speed. :D

I reckon 130ish sounds about right in the real world on the flat.
