cambelt price

Featured Replies

I know this has probably been done to death but I have been quoted 350 inc vat for cambelt, all tensioners and water pump on mk 1 vrs at local vw Audi Skoda specialist .this is the first belt I have ever had to replace as I have always run BMW with chain driven cams and I have no idea if this is a fair price. Does this sound reasonable I have not rung dealer yet as I assume Indy will be cheaper. Thanks

I paid £230 all in. Parts came to 130, belt kit, waterpump and aux belt.

I paid £280 all in for mine.

I paid around £350+vat in Edinburgh last month. Tensioner alone was £99 or something. All OEM parts.

About 340 all in, but the garage were top notch and I highly trust their work (ex VAG group).
