Hatch Dog Guard in an Estate

Well, I only went Ebay crazy and got a Hatch Dog Guard for my Estate

I thought I'd getaway with just the shape of the guard being a bit out but could I get it to fit - could I heck as like.

I worked out how the clips/clamps at the bottom work and I have to short bolts& washers for the top but try as I might couldn't see how it goes together.

So will the hatch fit the estate or am I flogging a dead horse and need to get it back on Ebay ?
