I'm going to buy a miltek decat for my vrs but I am looking to get the shell of my old cat welded onto the miltek down pipe, so it looks like the cats in place, just wondering if it's possible to weld the cat shell to the stainless steel down pipe?

Why would you spend money to buy a decat for nearly £200 to then cut it up? Why don't you just get your cat cut off and gutted and weld it back on? Cost you about £40

Sounds like that's what he's going to do when he said he's going to have the shell welded to it!

I've already had my cat cut out but I'm not happy with the way they've done it, they've reduced the size of the existing pipe, so instead of being 55mm it's now 45 or less,

I'm not cutting the decat at all I'm simply welding a cat shell in
