Trim fell off :(

Featured Replies

Giving the vrs a clean today and a piece of trim between the roof and the 'C' pillar has come off. Now have a nice grey sikaflex type glue on show :(

What is the best adhesive to use when re-attaching the trim?

You can get special stuff for the job i think. I cant remember what its called though

Available online from www.specialstuff.com iirc.

How old is the car?

Trim coming off is a warranty issue

Silkoflex?

I've used a silicone product called Stixall for similar applications in the past. You'd probably have to clamp it in place for a few hours but it will give a permanent bond. Bought it from Amazon in a squeezy tube.

Stixall is good.

Iv used it at work a few times. It will be a pain to get off the paint if you ever want to remove it though.

Great stuff, I remember sticking a TRD spoiler on my old Yaris T Sport with the stuff and it never budged!
