Brakes and Pads

Featured Replies

My cars failed MOT today on the front disks and pads. I'm going to uprate them but not sure what to get. What do people recommend?

Pagids, disks and pads.

Foe the money these are a good option.  If your looking at spending like £150 you may as well go down the 312mm upgrade route.

Same as above, good overall parts medium rage I'd say.

Where's the best place to buy these?

also, depending on when your brake fluid was last changed I'd get that done also. It's recommended to be changed every two years.

Don't think so but what you can do is order the pads with wear indicators and just cut the wires off if your car doesn't have them.

Two provisos...

 1) That you can successfully find the parts that fit the VRS out of the whole range of Fabia brake parts their stoopid site offers.

 2) That there's a discount code or offer on for at least 25%.

They also have a presence on eBay.

A full set of Pagid with zero discount would be £150+. Look to pay more like £100-£120.

I think the quote for 312mm disc and pads upgrade would be in the region of £120/£150 range, but what about the cost of the upgrade calipers? £100 each side ??

I got some drilled and grooved Brembo discs & Mintex pads.... ebay for £120 all in.
