Heated seats - wet & dry vac cleaning advice

Featured Replies

Hi

As above really, SWMBO has heated seats in her vRS, and I intend taking the seats out to clean them with my wet & dry vac.

Obviously I know I have to disconnect the wiring under the seat before removal, but I was wondering if they are suitable for cleaning using my machine.

Again, I guess that I shouldn't totally saturate the seat, but any other pointers would be gratefully received.

Thanks.

Lightly spray the surface, agitate with a sponge/brush and then vacuum out the remaining moisture. Just take your time and don't be tempted to overwet and you'll be fine :)

I used a rug doctor and got mines soaking

Maybe not the best idea looking back lol

Thanks guys;,

think I'll pally the solution using a spray bottle rather than the wet part of the vac itself, that way it's easier to regulate.
