Rapid

Featured Replies

My car is In the dealers for 2 days while they fix my bumper they scratched at the last service.

Well been lent a 1.6 tdi elegance Rapid and must say very impressed only down side is stearing is to light and lacks feed back and some plastics are hard and cheap. But drives well and no boom from the boot, less road noise, no trim rattles, and much softer ride ( as I find the Octavia just to firm at times) but on the whole not as well finished as an Octavia or as well equipped and handles worse. but the suspension is so much more comfortable around town and much quieter in general. Also car seems to be screwed together better, be it with cheap and nasty plastics.

I had a rapid space back 1.2TSI for a weekend before I picked up my Octavia as they were late with it. Thought id made a really bad choice as it felt so cheap and was worried my Octavia would feel like it. Not a bad car don't get me wrong, its a fair bit cheaper than an Octavia so its understandable I suppose.

The Octavia definitely feels more solidly put together and drives way better.

I do think the rapid is a good car but just not for me, the glass roof was good!

Agreed for the money and the size it is it is a v good car.

Was briefly loaned a 1.6 TDi 105 SE whilst my car went in for a service and wasnt much to grumble about, felt like an upsized (but not quite so well finished) Polo with lots of standard kit. Went quite well but wasnt particularly sharp to drive.

Didnt like it enough to want to buy one but would happily be loaned one again.

I must say after having been loaned a citygo which would have been fun other than the asg box and a brown roomster I do think the rapid is way better than them!

Had a couple of Rapids as loaners, much prefer them to Fabias. They are the same chassis aren't they? But the Fabia feels like a 10 year old design compared to the Rapid.
