Good news then, it was worth the trip to have a look.  I'm still missing mine as it was a nice example too.  Enjoy the car.

Just thought I'd add, what's the deal with cruise control? (I do long motorway trips once or twice a month)

Did I read somewhere before now that you can add a stork and have it turned on... or something? Cheers!

Cruise control can be fitted and I did mine.

Cambelt/waterpump will need to be done, but I'm guessing not until 70k? I'll ask about it all though and go through the entire list in the buyers guide.

It will be a age thing as well buddy, but seems you have confirmed replaced already

seem not all years had this, not even newer cars. as mentioned easy to code . I use mine quite a bit when i go shopping

Seems a tad pricey (I paid £2400 from a trader for mine, on a 51 plate with 42k miles, FSH etc).

Does look very nice though, so if it's had the cambelt & pump done, doesn't need tyres or brakes etc.. then I'd so go for it. :)

Yep but yours is a 2001 model which obviously account for quite a bit.

But like you said and others, a very very nice example . Glad this has been purchased.

Now let briskoda dent your wallet further OP..............

Yeah it was definitely worth the trip!  I'm so glad I was able to snap it up as the seller said he had had some people ring about it before me - albeit giving him stupidly low offers.  Thanks mate, I'll try my best to enjoy every minute :)

Thanks for all of that!  Yeah I can't imagine it's going to be standard for long, REVO map at some point for sure!

@Russell - If it's not a rude question, how much was your LPG conversion and where did you have it done?  Was there any power loss or gain and also has the system been reliable?  Cheers!

Pioneer Autogas of Rochdale - £900 all in. LPG registered and get a whole tenner of my road tax !  - Not been back in in 15 months since it was 1st done. Should do really as it needs a filter changing every 10k (supposedly) - Mileage I do it paid for itself in a year - Now got Diesel running costs with LPG performance.

No power loss between petrol and gas - It pulls like a train on either !

Great news, I think I'll definitely have to look into an LPG conversion at some point :)

Hi everybody, hope you're all well!  Hopefully I've posted this in the correct area.

It's been a while since I posted on the forum - I planned on buying a Mk1 last year but it didn't happen.

Now my daily has be classed as dead (rust etc), I NEED a Mk1 in my life.

Now, I've seen this one on Autotrader - it looks VERY clean and I'm going to ring them tomorrow about going to see it.

As far as I can tell it's super low mileage and really clean - but the only thing I can kind of spot in the photos is a slightly 'drooping' backbox.

Let me know your thoughts/opinions please - have any of you dealt with PCD Auto Sales before?

Many thanks in advance!

Looks really clean and super low miles for the year.. As long as the history checks out and its HPI clear id say go for it.. the drooping back box is a broken exhaust hanger, its common problem but then that's just an excuse to replace it with a big loud stainless steeley :)
