Just bought a VCDS cable and will be playing with it on my Octavia tonight, just wondered where the port is on the Octy mk3?

 

On my Peugeot the OBD port was in the most awkward position under the steering wheel, had to lay on the floor to really get to it. Assume it's probably similar, but just wanted to check that it's not hidden behind a panel or on the passengers side somewhere?

Nope, bottom right hand corner of the dash, there isn't a cover or anything for it. Basically below the small storage compartment.
