Cleaning a motorbike.... Any top tips/special kit?

Featured Replies

As per title really,

Exhaust bung is one that springs to mind,

And I guess I should invest in some cleaning brushes

as there are many nooks and crannies on a bike.

Any other hints tips and product recommendations welcome.

I used to find that SDoc100 Motorcycle Gel Total Cleaner was really good and tbh their total range of products is really good

I also have a set of brushes from Muc-Off and their cleaner is also pretty good to.

Otherwise it's much like a car with the two bucket method etc. however if using a pressure washer be very careful around wheel hubs and headstocks as you could wash the grease away!

My only tip would be to buy plenty of ACF50!

My dad has always used autosol for polishing the exhaust on his motorbikes. Ain't sure what he uses on the rest of it prob just a rag and fairy liquid knowing him lol. His cbr1000rr looks good though when clean !
