Morning folks, anyone had any issues with whatsapp on iPhone? I woke this morning and went to send my bro a message only to find that ALL of my messages in all my chats have disappeared :( tried reinstalling it and then restoring chat history but it didn't do anything!!! Any ideas or tips greatly appreciated.

iPhone is 7.1.1. Not sure what version whatsapp it is. Was fine last night as checked for message before bed but this morning every message is gone. Did a bit of googlelymebob and most said delete whatsapp then reinstall and choose restore chat history, it said how messsges and picture it would restore then said it had restored messages but nothing appeared in the chats!!

When I try a back up it tells me I have 55 pics and 1100 messages total size 1.3mb, when I do the back up it says it's done it but when uninstall then reinstall the app and say yes to restore chat messages it says it's restoring but doesn't do it! Just can't see where I'm going wrong and how without doing anything to my phone it would just delete all the messages!!!

Hmmmm 1.3mb is not huge.

 

To be honest I delete all my threads from time to time,

any pics/vids I want to keep is auto saved into the gallery anyway.

I delete coz as the threads gets too long it seem to slow things a bit ...

Would 1.3 mb be too small for 55 pics? Looks like I'll just have to live with it :( more annoyed as to how it happened in the first place!!

There is no way getting back unless u got a good backup on iTunes / iCloud etc...

I didn't realise that the iCloudmebob button wasn't toggled on for daily backup!! And haven't backed up on iTunes for months!! Ahh well you live and learn!!! Thanks for the replies

Two guys got sent unsolicited child pron, even though one guy deleted it and the other had never even viewed it, they both got sent down for "receiving".

 

No word on any attempt to find out who sent it to them, the account/phone number was spoofed.

 

So, the ideal way to get rid of someone you dont like; get an unregistered PAYG phone and a fake whatsapp profile, obtain and send some kiddie porn to your target, then an anonymous call to the rozzers!!!!!

Jaysus that's mental!! Never heard that!! Surely there must have been something else going on!! You don't just get sent down 'cos someone sends you something nasty like that and YOU go to jail!! Seems a bit bizarre!!
