Parrot ck3100

Featured Replies

I've bad a good old search and seen a few people with this hands free kit fitted.

I'm still a bit unsure whats exactly needed to fit in my new Octavia.

Do all the kits come with the ipod/aux/USB for the glove box?

I'm going to have a look in Halfrauds tomorrow at one but don't fancy letting them loose on the car.

Ck3100 is phone only no USB/iPod connections. You will need an iso to quadlock loom adaptor too.

Just had a look and i got confused a little.

I meant the Parrot mki9200, this has the bluetooth interface.

Will this come with the correct harnes to 'plug and play'? Most sellers on the internet dont give much info on that side of things.

The mki9200 does do iPod etc out of the box. You will still need the quadlock adapter as this is vehicle specific and is therefore separate.

Right i see. That quad lock will be what my harness clips into and then that clips into the radio?

The kit is about £130-40 on the internet, ill have a look at the extra cable needed then.

Thanks for that info

Yes, there are two connectors and they are bigger than the iso ones. I think the cable was about £15. I got given a ck3100 for free so I only needed the cable.

The other issue is that you will need to access a switched live as there isn't one on the radio. You can get a box of tricks which uses the can messages to the radio to provide a switched live. I think they're about £40 though. I just added a new switched live from the fuse box using a VAG repair wire which means it runs of a normal fuse in one of the unused fusebox slots.

That was my next question. Ive seen a few people use a piggyback fuse, is this the easiest way?

That is the easiest way. Had the MKi9200 in my Octavia II VRS and also bought one of those igni boxes (to provide the switched live).

That box wasnt totally fault free and switched on and off at the same time the switched live from the fuse box did.

So wasted the Money on the igni box as I wired the Parrot directly into the fuse box with a piggyback fuse. That was reliable and much easier.

Thanks for that. I think i will try and use a spare fuse, i'll have to have a look and see whats available.

Should be OK, I don't remember mine being specific for the Stream mp3 version.
