What toolkit please

Featured Replies

Hi, I sourced the comet alloy off ebay and had a tyre fitted and slung it in the wheel well in the boot. Stuffed that polystyrene thing in the loft.

Now, I have no tools whatsoever in the boot. What do I need to get by on?

Do I go for the official wheel kit round thingy or just a tyre iron and an adjustable whatnot?

Cheers, Neil.

I have a full tool kit from a Golf MK 3, still in the foam tray thing that fits inside the spare wheel. Depending on where you are you can have it.

Includes a jack, wheel brace and a screwdriver iirc.

I am in St Helens, Merseyside, where are you?

Thank you for the offer James. I am near Heathrow airport near London unfortunately mate. Superb offer though. What a top chap you are.

Pity that mate, as a second resort you can go to a scrap yard/ car dismantler and get the same thing, double check but I think as long as it is from a VAG car you should be ok.

 Good Luck with it.
