CSMA votes Up the Yeti

Featured Replies

This month's CSMA magazine has a comparative road test between the Yeti 1.2 Indoor and the Nissan Qashqi 1.2.

Overall the Yeti comes out on top, especially on rear headroom and driving experience.

To me Asian/Nissan = white goods.

I did visit a Nissan dealership before ordering my Yeti but the lack of rear seat flexibility ruled out Qasqai for me.

Subsequently, a friend bought one ( old model) and said for such a size outside it had little room inside and he is not over 6 foot tall!

Also their petrols are not as fuel efficient as a Yeti.

This is what I mean about rear seat flexibility.

The old QQ had the front seats raised from the floor by about 100mm by the Japanese designers so that it felt like it had the raised ride height of a 4x4...  what they forgot to do at the same time was to raise the roof!!!  So when you sit in it your head is nearly touching the headlining! I always feel claustrophobic in those cars. With the new QQ they had the sense to lower the front seats to a normal position thankfully.

I just so happen to have a copy of this on my desk... perks of the job ;)

I personally prefer the look of the Qashqai over the Yeti, but the Yeti is the better package...

And to finish the section off, we (the company I work for) have got a lovely full page add with 10% discount for all you CSMA members :D
