What I'm saying is, that wrap don't reduce the light going thro as bad as them films, obviously it does reduce a bit, but they are still bright enough

And I do appreciate your opinion

Peace

Wonderful, and i do appreciate you appreciating MY opinions.

Just hope I don't have the misfortune of having to follow you on a foggy night on the motorway.

What's with this 'PEACE' you keep typing btw?

You some sort of a new age hippy or summat ey.... man?  B)

(NOT a criticism btw before the PC brigade jump on my back, knives out))

Jeez, what is it with this thread - give the OP a hard time?   How about nice posts or none at all?

  • Hi again been a while, sadly had to say good bye to my SuperB :( Due to an upgrade, so don't know should I start a new tread, a little sneek Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk

But there you have answered Mr Ree's point to the letter -- "they don't reduce the light as bad as films OBVIOUSLY IT DOES REDUCE A BIT. "

The bulbs in any lights are designed to give a specified amount of light out, and reducing that in any way cannot be a good safety move. A small reduction in the output of, for example, rear fog lights in bad visibility may cause someone to only actually seeing the back of your car 3 feet later than they would if they lights were standard -- and that 3 feet could be the difference between someone stopping BEFORE they hit you, and stopping WHEN they make contact with the back of your pride and joy.

With all due respect you can't say that the lights are still "bright enough"

Saved me the trouble, thanks Mike.  :notme:

No nothing really, just trying to be peaceful with everyone :), don't want to loose people with knowledge ;)

Trust me I'm not a hippy :D

Is there any chance to catch you on motorway, I mean do you live far from London ? :)

I know that, but I don't do a lot of motorway runs, ok lets hope no one will end up in my pride and joy, well they shouldn't, it's just the way I like it so sorry about it

Not a criticism btw, then why say it to start with, seems like he was just trying not to upset any of the know it alls on here.

As I see it there is nothing wrong with criticising someone or their car, it's the way you do it that is important.

On forums you only have the written word and emoticons. Without the tone of your voice or seeing your face or your body language people will read what you write differently.

The guy is new, it will take him time to discover what the most people on Briskoda think about certain things. The fog light / HID kit debate is always one to stir emotions. The OP wasn't to know this. Therefore I would automatically cut him some slack from the offset.

Bold font, block capitals, lots of exclamation marks and an emoticon banging his head against a wall? I'd argue this may come across as a little 'unfriendly' or abrupt.

Hey kes... where did you get those interior bulbs from?  Really need a set of those myself.

Ps. Nice car, love the colour too... not that I'm biased in anyway :p

The car looks exactly the same as my own... same inside too (well it did before all the mods)

Aww... Ahem! I guess now wouldn't be a good time to ask where I can get a 'la cucaracha' air horn from? ;o)

Wouldn't mind a confederate flag roof......... yee-ha

Interior lights, got them from eBay, they are just normal side lights (501 w5w and so on), just look for shorter ones if you're looking for them , cause there's not a lot of room there :D, and I went for error free bulbs, cause I used the same ones as side lights ;)

Your 22 and you've just got an L&K superb!! That's not bad to be fair.I only had my first 1.4 Octavia at that age.

That's a fabulous looking car and love the colour. The ivory looks great with it. I hope you're not going to do too many mods though, the L&K looks great as it is.

Welcome to the L&K club :)

Always wanted an estate, and now the chance came, so decided to take it, and yes it's going to stay almost as standart as it is, just cause it's pretty much loaded already :D and my God what a car :)

Not a whole lot to add to that spec really and you won't be stuck for space.  You won't be disappointed that's for sure.  Hope you can close your gates now as that combi is quite long  :)

Best of luck and let us know how you get on with it!
