Fabia 60mm lowering springs?

Featured Replies

Weird...

I always thought the front was too high and the back sat nice and low! :D

Chris

Yeah...well that's because the front arch is slightly bigger than the rear arch if you look carefully...usually that's the case with most cars.

My real point was that it's the same car and the same springs as in my photo ;)

Frigging hell. I have been mugged. Sort of...

Sent Eibach a few pictures of the car and the springs, explaining the problem. This morning I got a call from Belinda and we established that the car was sitting on ESTATE springs, and at the rear was in fact exactly the same height as standard. The front has the correct springs though. I would like to mention that Belinda was very helpful.

So I need to buy two new rear PD100 hatchback springs :(

Or I could just go for the Postert 60/40 combo :dizzy:

I would suggest that it may be an Eibach packing problem then rather than you getting the wrong sprngs from Chris. Chris had them supplied from new I think.

Maybe. They're still going to charge me either way because I couldn't prove it even if it was.

But surely they would normally only sell them as a set so how would you and why would you bother with 2 different types.

I would push them a bit harder. Lucky it is only the back ones though.

The TDI estate and the TDI hatchback use the same front springs as the load over the front wheels is the same. The rears I have on mine are designed to carry an extra 75kg, so only they need changing.

Chris said you might have the box as he used it to put the dampers in when he sold them to you - do you still have it? And if so, does it have a part number on it?

Jamie

Yep - I'll go take a look Jamie.

Jamie

The box I have is the Dampers one which has the Pt No 60-79-001-01-22

Thinking about it Chris may have taken the other box with him.
