Has anyone out there used an Octavia Mk2 (2004 onwards) jumbo box/armrest and fitted it to a Mk1 (up to 2004)?

I have had 4 Octavias, a new Superb and my family have had 3 Fabias. I've done lots of 'bits' and additions to them. Sat navs fitted, reverse cams, auto dimming mirrors, and rain sensing wiper systems but now my wife has obtained a nice 2003 Laurin and Klement. I would like to fit a jumbo box to it to replace existing armrest. One job I've never looked at before. Anyone out there tried this? I know where to get the complete jumbo box but don't want to waste money if there are any huge snags.
