You can unscrew the old clips and install them on the new carpet if you wanted to use the same mats

i have to buy a set anyway as mine have about had it but was unsure which fitted but also does anyone no if u can buy the clips for the black carpet to hold the mats in place

You cant buy any from skoda. Whether you can buy some from vw or audi for there cars or not im not sure. Which car did you get the carpet from? Mine was from a 1.4 boggo standard golf so had crap mats, maybe if your carpet is from a gti or similiar the clips you have might be ok?

thanks for the link mate do u no if they will fit the golf carpet without changing the clips

They are replacement clips for the octy mats, the clips that are on the carpet from other models may be different. The clips just unscrew by hand and the new ones screw in their place

I've just fitted a black carpet out of a golf. That has the two round studs in the carpet already in the two front footwells. I bought genuine mk4 mats off eBay as vw no longer make them and would have charged over 70 quid anyway. I wanted rid of the twist lock things for being totally useless.

Also forgot to mention, in the rear footwells the carpet had no round fixings. You can buy these separate though from vw/TPS. But they need to be fitted when the carpet is up as its like a round plastic washer thing that goes underneath then the top part pushes onto that.
