Recommended Wheel Refurb in NW?

Featured Replies

A guy at work has a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro Sport - the laquer on the 17" standard alloys has started to peel on all 4 (I think) and it's looking awful. He looks after the rest of the car, so it's a real shame.

He's looking to get something else in the near future, but is worried the alloys will make it more difficult to sell. I'd be inclined to agree.

So - if anyone in the North West has postive experience of a decent wheel refurbishment place, whose prices are reasonable, let me know. Would be preferable if it's in the South Manchester/North Cheshire region.

Cheers

Steve

Id be interested to know who can do this too.

I'm not aware of any in the NW -- there are some mobile guys that can tart them up - would do to tidy up for selling.

or failing that there are these people :

Alloy Refurb

Have not used myself, although have asked for a quote to refurb the BBS wheels on the Golf.

Thanks - I've put a quote request in with that company. Have a feeling it's gonna be pricey though.

Even the mobile quick fixers seem to charge around the 50/60 quid mark - so I think your gonna be looking at around 80 quid per wheel for standard finish and more for the more complex finish's

Ask a local body shop if they can do it, i got one of mine fully refurbed/sprayed by a local body shop when the tyre place i go to managed to scratch it all the way round for free! I would imagine around

ProClean in Prescot, Merseyside have a good rep. Not far from my house too.

I've heard good things about ProClean.... they were recommended to me by the local Ford garage tho so who knows ;)

I also know of a guy based around Stockport area who does refurbing... few people at work have used him and said he's good (does paintwork too) I'll look out his number and edit it in here later!
