Ground zero speakers

Featured Replies

Anyone had any expirience with the brand? And just to double check would these fit in the 2000 1.9tdi combi?

Where are you going to fit them?

I was thinking of repalcing the ones in the boot since i find the original ones a bit bad

The positioning of the speakers, both front and back, is poor. Personally I don't think you will see much of a difference. Do you still have the stock HU?

Nope, put in a different one and it did help a bit but i can't shake the feeling of the back ones just being plain flat...the fronts are okish imho for now.

We have a mkI Leon and compared to my old mkI Octavia the sound is miles better, even after I put a better HU and front speakers in the Octy.

I'm hoping to swap all the original stuff out piece by piece when the money allows for buying something. My kids godfather put a pair of ground zeroes in his 99 passat and he swears that the difference is massive compared to the stock ones. He got some bundle that came with mids and highs for the front door and was a direct swap. Thats what made me wonder if it would be worth it.

Edit: Might be worth mentioning i got used to the stock system in my 2006 fiesta wich was insane.

Its the positioning of the speakers that is the issue. The front speakers have virtually no space behind them and the rears in the estate are kind of wedged in as an after thought.

Agree on the rears, don't see why they couldn't put them in the rear doors?

That's where the are in the mkII and the stock system sounds so much better.

Going to a mate that used to work with ICE tommorow, try some bits and pieces to figure what would be the best thing to do. I got even more hooked up to these blasted speakers now that i found out they are quite cheap compared to other stuff available in the stores here.

Well after a few days of pluging and umpluging various audio parts in the car it seems ill go with the ground zero's getting the back ones on the 15th and hopefuly front ones aswell on the 1st cause they are insane compared to the stock ones even with the relatively cheapish pioneer hu :)
