stud pattern woes HELP!

Featured Replies

just purchased a spare steel wheel of an old audi, scrappy was unsure of what model it came of but I know its certainly not after 2003. stud pattern is 5 bolts but unsure if its 112 or 110 on this steely. how do I know by lookin at the codes on the centre of the wheel that ive just brought if its 112 or 100?

im lost

cheers

If you have the wheel, try it on the car,  if you have the wrong PCD it will not fit.

(Be sure you also have the correct Centre Bore.)

What Steel wheel size did you get,  15" or 16" ?

lol I was worried youd suggest that I thought itd be quicker to ask here lol thanks!

You are as well to see that the Road Wheels come off the car while the weather is good,

if they have not been off recently.

& the theory of a Spare fitting is pointless if you need to put the spare on and you thought it would fit

but it does not.

So did you buy the same size of rim as on the car, and are you fitting the same size tyre?

same size rim same size tyre etc just having nightmare troublkes trying tyo remove the plastic stud covers jesus!

The Wheel Nut Cover removing Tweazers are worth their weight in gold.

Imagine if you only found that out on a wet dark night on a dangerous bit of road.

Then finding out once the nuts are removed that the wheel is stuck on to the Drum or Hub and needs

hit and kicked to get it off.

Best put some Copper slip on the faces between Wheel and hub once you get it off and before replacing.
