My drivers side rear window is stuck closed, I can hear the mechanism lifting and lowering but the glass is staying in position, anyone had this issue? Or know how to fix it?

I had a Clio that kept breaking pins in the scissor lift mechanism thought it would drop rather than stay up.

 

you'll probably need to take the door card out to have a proper look.

Could it just be cogs skipping on the motor and mechanism as I'd have thought what Aspman is saying would apply!

You can hear the actual framework lowering and lifting as it should, just the glass stays in place. Probably have to take the door card off and explore was just hoping someone would have an easy fix for it.
