Something? Or nothing?

Featured Replies

Just replaced my window motor (Absolute joke to get one at a reasonable price, as we all know). Anyway as I was behind the door card I saw this....

Should it be something I need to be concerned about? The electric mirror, speakers, etc.. All work now. Just hoping its not something I have to spend more money on

I would say that someone's been playing with the hi-fi.

A little odd though, since it looks like it has a standard midbass driver in the door.

looks like a previous owner has re wired the speakers as the clear wire (with pink heat shrink)in the bottom of the pic is speaker wire but no idea why they would've unless they had more powerful speakers in.

as the speakers still work then the two cut wires won't have power to them as it has been put through the new wire instead

hope this helps

Arnt they what should run to the tweeter?

Cut wire = something not working.  Worth checking the tweeter as above. :)

the blue and brown wires coming out the top  in the pic go to the tweeter so make sure its not those wires that are cut as its hard to tell from the picture

Tweeter? Is that the small speaker inside at the top of the door? If it is then that still works too. Hmm...

Just wondering :

Is that the loom that goes to the rear of the car? Could it be wiring for the speakers in the rear door or the ones either side of the parcel shelf ?
