I have been having problems with a knocking noise from my vrs for a while now. It seems to be coming from the front passenger side of the car, and it does it when on any roads with a bad surface.

I changed the Drop Links and the problem stopped for a while and slowly came back afterwards.

The problem has now become much worse as if i hit a bump/pothole really hard now it seems like the engine moves and a massive amount of vibration comes through the car, and then if i put it into full left lock it seems like there is something stopping it, when forced slightly further there is a large clunking noise and the noise stops.

Has anyone else had this problem, i thought it might be engine mount?

I dont know if the clunking whilst driving and the other problem are linked or not but any advice will be appreciated.

It could be a broken spring, right up beside the pigtail. You can probably see it if is by looking up the damper with a good torch.
