Skoda Fabia vRS - Green - Time to say goodbye - pics added

Featured Replies

Hello,

It's time to say goodbye to the little green pocket rocket.  My husband is in the military and now he can walk/cycle to work we no longer need two cars and with two Springer Spaniels, the vRS is not the car for the job so we're keeping the bigger dog mobile and I have to say goodbye to my much loved and extremely well looked after vRS.

I'd rather see it go to someone who loves it as much as me rather than you're average boy racer, hence the post on here, will advertise it until the end of the month before I approach local garages and the local car selling pages.

Details are:

  • 2010 (10-plate) Skoda Fabia vRS Hatch.  Original model so no black roof or facelifted black grill & headlights.  Bought in 2011, ex demonstrator, owned outright - no finance.

  • Mileage is 46600 (still using it every now and then so this will creep up slightly until sold).

  • Serviced & MOT July 2013 (mileage was 42466), had new brake discs and pads all round and only done 4000 miles since!

  • The car has a full service history from Skoda.  Tax runs out at the end of June (£140 for the year) and MOT and 12 mth Service is due 19 July 2014, due to low mileage between services I don't envisage any problems.

  • Rear parking sensors

  • Bluetooth

  • Cruise control

  • Rubber Fabia boot tray

  • vRS mats

The car is as it came out of the factory, no modifications (despite Husbands best efforts), it was treated with Autoglym Lifeshine when I bought it and Husband has washed and polished it on a regular basis to maintain the bodywork and it shows :-)  Always parked as far away as possible from everyone else so no scratches or dents.  There is a tiny scuff mark on the one alloy wheel, my mistake, parking it the first day I had it (yes I cried!) and a couple of hardly noticeable stonechips which I would expect from the mileage.

Car is in Cambridgeshire.  Looking for £7000 ono

Also have a full set of Winter Tyres to sell.  Bought them for the forecasted snow but it never came so they've never been fitted to a wheel, never mind the car!  They are Roadstone Winguard Sport 205/40 R17 84V XL - open to sensible offers.

Thank you for reading!

Emma,

Sounds nice.

Any engine issues, ref High oil consumption or tests?

Has the DSG had the oil changed under the recent recall?

Have you got an extended warranty on it?

No engine issues at all.  Only had one top up of oil (two weeks ago and half a litre at most) since it's last service.

The Fabia hasn't been recalled for anything, wasn't aware of any recalls on it?

No extended warranty.

It's not a recall as such and only some are affected but I think this is what the previous poster means : http://www.briskoda.net/forums/index.php?/topic/315115-%27service-campaign%27-DQ200-DSG-Oil-Change%2CECU-update%2C-Fabias-in-UK%2E

Emma,

You need to submit your cars Vin No. to your Skoda Dealership, so they can check if your car is due a free Service Campaign DSG gearbox oil change.

Recommend doing before sale.
