Rubbing/Grinding Noise When Turning Left

Featured Replies

In the last few months my Fabia has developed a rubbing/grinding noise when turning left to any degree (full lock or just ever so slightly). Had the car up on jacks, doesn't seem to be wheel bearings (quick wheel wobble test only). The N/S driveshaft was leaking a small amount of grease from its gaiter so changed that and still no change.

Tracking and balancing is all done so straight and true. The noise gets worse at speed but is unchanged by engine load (put in neutral, no change in noise).

Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? The noise seems to be coming from the left hand side but it is difficult to make out,

Got it booked in to my local VAG specialist tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone on here has experienced similar problems?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers,
