Furby vRS - Reversing Sensors fitted at last

Featured Replies

Linky not worky ;)

Very very neat job. Well done. Did you have to remove the bumper?

That looks great. I didn't realise it was possible to silver distance sensors. Where did you get that kit from with the silver sensors - something I might consider getting done now.

Looking excellent - do you have a pic of the interior display?

Nice job that

Yes but it is quite easy - 4 screws under the light clusters. 4 in the arches and I think 4 underneath + 2 Bolts in boot

Sorry to drag this a little off topic, but does anyone have any opinions on electromagnetic sensors rather than ultrasonic (as above)?

Ta.. :)

The electro magnetic ones are apparently more prone to interference and have been known to fall off. The ultrasonics are the best bet for reliablility

Ta.. :)[/quote']I've got an electromagnetic sersor on my Fabia vRS. It only provides a signal when you are moving (it senses the change in distance rather than the absolute distance) and with the tailgate shut, the range is too short to be useful. It also picks up buried metal, manhole covers etc under the road as if they were obstacles behind you.

What's wrong with remembering how long the car is?
