Was chatting with my missus old man yesterday who runs he's work transit on biofuel and wondered if anyone had run a fabia vrs on the stuff??

Hello, when I had my MY04  1.4tdi PD Mk 1 Fabia, the Owner's Manual carried strict instructions about the maximum % biodiesel allowed by VAG, I seem to recall it's down to biodiesel being much more acidic than mineral diesel, and attacking all the vital seals in the fuel system. Can't say I've checked in the current Roomster book, probably very similar.  I recall that UK road diesel currently contains 5% biodiesel.

Bio conforming to E51 606can be mixed in any ratio with diesel fuel conforming toEN590 ,and although I can't find the article, I remember that it's recommended to changethe filter after a fill or two of Bio .
