Needs a good clean and the leather treating but part from that it's in good nick since it's done 118k. Managed to raise the suspension slightly at the front so i can get it up the drive without ripping the spoiler of every time

Mmmmm , very nice.

I'm not much of a fan of Mk3 golfs , but that does look very good.

looks good mate, thought you might have gone for a corrado.

seems like a cracking deal with the amount its had spent on it too :)

Sweet ride, loving the classic Azevs.

loving that, maybe not the leather seats though,as above them rims are timeless.

I like the corrado's Kenny just all the ones i looked at were over priced and in poor condition and for the same price the mk3's were newer.

Needs a couple of little jobs doing on it but nothing major and drives like new. If i put all the mods on the car it already has it would cost me more than i paid for the car with them on so saved me quite a bit. Just needs a stereo install and it's done.

I know what you mean Dr Zoiberg as i am not that great a fan of the mk3 but for some reason it looks different and for the money it was a bargain.

Great Car -- I was looking to get a corrado VR as well -- as you say lots are overpriced rubbish - got my Golf - 1 owner 58k '96 model in flash red - was totally standard when I got it......

That did'nt last for long

Just crying for a Schrick manifold ;)

i personally think most of the golfs have looked a bit naff tbh,but with a set of rims and lowering a bit ,they look far better.

very smart looking car mate, good find :)

There was a secondhand one for sale on Ebay last week - it went for over 700 quid

IIRC new price is about

An interesting colour and a very nice-looking car. :)

Seriously nice car mate! Loving it

The wheels are sheer sex  . Its the first time I've seen black plastic bits on a car that actually look good! And why can't we get nice tinted lights like that for our Furbys? :(

My grandad has always had Golfs. Had a Mk1 GTi 1979 V reg. It rotted in his front garden after 170,000 hard miles. I used to play in it when I was a kid. He seriously regrets swapping it for his Scirocco (also now deceased). Guess if he still had it - well, would be worth a fortune :Yikes:

He now has a MK2 GTi that needs some work and a MK3 GTi 2.0. I love the solid look and feel of the MK3, but its oh so slow. I mean really slow.

I'd love yours mate, looks the business!

Looking well tasty mate

I'm probably with a few people in saying you don't normally think of a Mk3 first when you're thinking of Golfs, but that looks mint. Love the wheels, stance, and the colour. Bet it sounds gorgeous too!

Nice one :)

The car did have Schrick manifold and cams but were removed to make way for a turbo conversion. Mike said it was a lot of money for very little in power gain.

I have seen a supercharger kit for 3k and 250bhp :D better value then the schrick items

Car does sound sweet and turns a couple of head

Colour is a bit interesting as dont see many and varies in shade depending on the light.

the blower would be awesome!!!!

We had a few supercharger ones in but most seem to stuggle with fueling, often running dangerously lean. But I guess thats down to people just slapping them on and doing nowt else.

was going to suggest the supercharger route myself ;)

know what you mean about the corrados, still very hefty in price. what youve managed to get looks great too, well done :)

Lovely looking Golf you've got there!

Don't bother with the Schrick- as you said, a lot of money for the power gain. S/Charger is the way to go! Get rid of that induction kit too- might sound nice, but the VR engine gets very hot, so it will only be sucking in hot air. Even better, get yourself a piece of aluminium and use the filter to make your own CAI- still get the noise, but you'll also get power too.

Your not wrong there - I couldnt believe the engine bay temps that my VR gets -- especially just after a thrash round anglesey yesterday -- the tops of the wings were too hot to touch! I've got a K&N intake kit and will certainly be getting rid - like you say sounds lovely -- makes jack difference to performance - other than harm it when its hot.

I'm liking the look of the carbonio intake kit from Awesome

Will be sorting the filter out one i have sorted all the audio but until then i will listen to the filter :D

Got a buyer for my mk2 golf so audio will be getting sorted soon after it goes.

Some good info on suupercharging the VR here: http://the-corrado.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27844

Skodaw, agreed, the Carbonio looks good- considering one for the vRS. The one all the Corrado boys rave about is the BMC though. Seems to give the best dyno results and sounds great without being too loud. I think Ripspeed (at Halfrauds) do a pretty much identical kit to the BMC for well under half the cost...

I think it is a quality colour.Had Mk 3 GTI.Very slow but this is a different kettle of fish.

I love Azev A alloys.
