skoda octavia 1.9 2001 clutch pedal lifeless

hi I recently got a skoda Octavia 1.9 diesel and the clutch cylinder went it I got another one from the breakers and after a lot of fiddling

got it fixed and bleeded before this I applied a bit of pressure to the pedal and heard like not a snap but knew something give way

is there hydroilics or a  behind the pedal . its not the plastic clip which is sometimes at fault the pedal is completely flat

anybody help with this. 1.9
