exhaust noise

im looking to change the noise of my exhaust its a1.9tdi its had the centre box removed and replaced with straight stainless and the back box removed and replaced with a straight stainless pipe no back box it has a bit more noise when i put the foot down but still sounds stock when ticking over with a slight turbo noise. but im wanting it so sound more powerfull or grunty under load but not any louder at idle or slight acceleration. it will be done by a mate of mine who makes custom exhausts but im not wanting to do something like decat and its to loud or fails mots. so hoping someone on here has done wot im looking for.
