My fourth Skoda - new to forum

Featured Replies

Hi all

Been driving our Snowy for two years now; previously, silver Octavia MkII, and before that bright red Octavia MkI, all diesels. The red one, still in the period when the VAG takeover was a novelty got stopped by the Lincs Police, as it was slowing down, at 92mph. A certificate to the ability of the car, if it said something else about the driver.

Our first Skoda was a custard-coloured Estelle, with a paving slab in the luggage compartment to prevent understeer. If it was parked on a steep camber it pumped petrol out of the filler. This was while the slogan for the marque was 'Surprising Skoda', as I was reminded by the dealer, after he'd said "Some of them do that - we can't work out why!"

Anyway, have looked on here for advice before; thought it was time I signed up.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard. I suppose the saying " better late than never" was invented for you. Have a great time on here. We ain't a bad bunch.

Thanks for the welcome, and apologies for not replying. I forgot to switch on the “follow topic” button.

Since this post, had another Yeti for seven years, and now moved to a Karoq Sportline. Will try to be a bit more active.

Holy thread revival Batman!

Three posts in nine years - you go steady there MP, pace yourself 😁
