Skoda UK Customer Services - avoid the 0845 number

Featured Replies

Just a note which may help some people. Others may already know this.

Don't call Skoda Customer Services on the 0845 number.

Phone VW Group on 01908 601601 and ask for Skoda Customer Services. They always put you straight through.

Saves possibly expensive phone calls and means you can contact them on your mobile without ridiculous charges.

Good one mate.

The revenue from the 0845 number is probably what is paying for replacement engines and the like.

Top down today?

Top down today?

Not until 4th July :(

Damn holiday got in the way!

Thanks

0845 is local rate anyway.

Not from a mobile...

Thanks for that.

What I find really annoying is that when Skoda ring my phone, it always comes up as 'unknown' and so half the time I ignore it unless I'm expecting a call because usually the unknown are the annoying calls with some foreigner trying to tell me I'm owed compensation!

They seem to have cottoned on to this now and a message is played asking you to call back on another number or hold and possibly incur charges.

I called my Skoda dealer today and the number was 0843. I have free local calls on my landline so I've no idea whether 0843 comes under that. :wonder:

0843 prices depends on what digits follow. Its not that simple.

The only correct non-geographic number for this day and age is 03.

Wife has just given me a flea in the ear for not using the phone book  . I just dialled the 0843 number from their web page.

In the phone book they display a 01472 local number but I haven't tried it so don't know whether they are still using it.

Okay so I have just checked my online BT phone bill. Today's 0843 call to Westgate Skoda is not yet showing but I did have occasion to call them in June when I made the initial enquiry about my DSG 'recall'.

Although I have "unlimited anytime calls" which " INCLUDES 0845 and 0870 numbers" the Skoda 0843 number (duration 5 mins)made in June has been charged to me as 'other numbers' at 41 pence.

I would say the OP gives sound advice here.

0333 003 7504 is a free phone number to SUK. Was given it a few week back when calling about my case

Where are the photos of the new motor Austen?

How is she going?

Skoda's web site is now giving an 03330 number (03330 037 504) ... the change might be related to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation And Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (came into effect in June) prohibiting the use of numbers resulting in charges higher than the basic rate (or those supporting revenue-sharing) for helplines/post-contract queries (I'm not sure if this would affect Skoda UK directly, as [other than the warranty] you don't have a contract directly with them - however, given their tie-up with their dealers, it wouldn't suprise me if this prompted a change).

November 2015, still current, just called on 01908 601601 and asked for Skoda UK customer services

cheers

Another think along the same lines is when I E-mailed SUK about my bonnet the address at the bottom of their reply reads [email protected] but the one I sent my complaint to is [email protected]  (notice the full stop before services)Don't know if it makes any difference as to how much responce you will get but I got a good one from the full stop address.
